Trying to write a post in record time, as this week sets off to a running face-plant with much more work than anticipated. There's something about fall and winter that evokes some giant mammalian hibernation potential from within, namely I want to sleep sleep and sleep some more. Especially when days are gloomy and the sky leers with ominous clouds, the wind lashes at 25 mph and the temperature jumps from 70 to 30 in an afternoon.
That was two days ago, when I was adamant I wanted to take pictures of these new sweaters from H&M. They were a buy one get on free deal (normally $34.95 for cape, $24.95 for sweater) but for some reason I just can't see myself wearing them all the time. For one, the cape is great and high fashion but I look like an armless alien. Good for photography, bad for walking around campus and trying to write. The cowled sweater features a shapeless blob of a neckline and I either have to fold it over my shoulders or let it drape like a mushy uncooked donut/doughnut. XS is also surprisingly too tight to breathe on me, so maybe extra petites would have better luck with this. So I went back after risking frostbite in uncomfortable areas and trying to photoshoot without my tripod blowing away in the parking lot a few stories above. I picked up two more sweaters that I'll show you soon - one I'll keep, another that still won't do. The red one with the big cowl keeps nagging at the back of my mind. You think I would learn.
Most of these pictures are sideways because my tripod was having a fit in the wind. Gives it a cool sideswept effect though. My favourite part was being blown away with my umbrella, which I lugged around expecting rain but none came. Super big comfortable umbrella my Dad bought me that flies open with the press of a button. When it's gloomy and it doesn't rain, it feels like having something that you can't get off your chest. It's like missing a step when you walk down the stairs.
When the sun sets at 4:30 PM ... I want to sit underneath the yellow gingko trees by the library. I want to enjoy a cup of coffee unperturbed, unrushed, people-watching to my heart's content. I want to be able to feel a minute pass, feel a tangible time. Something strange happened in Physics class today. I felt love. I felt undeniable love for a subject I abhorred for the longest time. Relatively is some pretty cool jazz and it finally gives the dreamer in me a chance. Oh the crazy things that happen the week before turkeys, pumpkin pie, and family.

angie you are so cute and stylish! i love that cape, but i agree, sometimes capes are only good for photos, unless you live in new york or something more stylish...i love that camel top too! you're so creative with your outfits!
thanks for the comment you left! you really think my pics are getting clearer? i still think they look kinda grainy but i'm getting better at editing them to take out the graininess. im hoping to get a new camera for xmas, been hinting to everyone that that's all i want ;P
oh dont worry about your header i change mine all the time, but just remember i am always willing to help with your layout or header anytime! :)
ok that's all, ive written a freaking book on here! :)
great finds at H&M!! the camel cowl neck sweater looks really cute on you and i like that it's longer in length as you can wear it with just leggings if you want. and i agree with capes -- great for photos but kinda weird in real life.

Angie! love your pics! H&M is great isn't it? hehe..The cape is cute! too bad its still too hot to wear that down here in florida.
Love the cowl neck shirt you have! love neutral colored tops! You did def. get a good deal at H&M. I need to go shopping there again soon!
After hearing your descriptions on twitter I expected much worse! The cape is maybe a little long but you do NOT look like an armless alien in it lol. Capes are so in this season but I'm not fashion forward enough to rock it. I also like the second one folded down over your shoulders.
lol angie! not alien looking at all. the cape is cute. i think i'm liking this new trend. i haven't tried one on yet, but wouldn't mind owning one. the sweater is also really cute. i like that you can wear it as a cowl neck or off the shoulders.
Aww love the cape! I own one but a shorter style and it has a hood so my siblings always call me littl red riding hood. LMAOOO!
Anyways, you look cute as always, Angie my love!!!!
xoxo

glisters and blisters
Seeing the pics, I feel a a little envious. In the day, the weather here is absolutely awful. The sun scorches and bits into your skin. It looks so lovely where you are. Wearing all the pretty clothes, scarves, boots and all..
/sigh
I love the camel colour cowled sweater. I love outfits like that :D
I have been eyeing a cape for this season but haven't found the one I really like. I was at H&M the other but didn't see this cape. I am a little disappointed of the buy one get one free promotion this time. Oh well, save me money for holiday shopping :) You look adorable as always. What part of Ohio did you live?
