Hurray for the weekend again! Little stresses popped up here and there this week, but it was mostly pretty cheery and warm. I got my Physics exam score back and it was a pleasant surprise. Thankfully my experience so far with my course radiates positivity - from the lectures, to the a-ha moments, to chill labs, to exams that I can actually get good grades on. On Tuesday, my horseshoe crab optic nerve was also firing beautifully. Action potentials are music to my ears.
I'm trying this new thing with blabbing dictionaries worth of text below all my pictures so that Pandaphilia will actually seem more like a fashion blog than a place for random mind garble. I will tag my clothes in more traditional fashion format, but I simply can't bring myself to type everything in Courier.
This is the outfit I wore today to class. Yesterday, my suitemate and I went to the mall to do some serious retail therapy at H&M. I heard they were having their 10 year anniversary sale, with many things $10 off in store, and boy was I right. There were so many wonderful pieces marked down! I will post pictures of the outfits I styled in the dressing room tomorrow haha. I chose this sweater top ($17.95 USD) because I liked the pattern and my suitemate liked the fit and flare bottom. This 100% leather camel skinny belt in 31-32" ($12.95) is a perfect addition to any outfit. I call it my magic skinny belt because it transforms anything shapeless into a perfectly fitted loose piece. $13 is a little much to shell out but after trying on about 5 different outfits with it, I decided it was too good to pass up. Plus, finally a skinny belt that actually has enough darn loop holes to work as an actual belt! I do have to tuck in the several inches of extra material though, but no harm done.
The white circle scarf is one my boyfriend helped pick out at Forever 21 a couple of weeks ago. He liked the knit pattern and I wanted something warm that can fill all the gaping holes from v-necks and other lower cut shirts during windy and chilly days. For pants, I just wore my old pair of skinnies for a classic black and black bow flats with knee high heart-print socks. Dark autumn outfit: check. Way too warm for today: check.
My suitemate found these adorable rings at F21 last night for only $1.50 for a set of 3. We both got silver sets in size 6 and I also picked a cute bow one with a dangling pearl. There's a blingier bow one that I haven't worn yet but I'm glad these are so cheap - no guilt in washing hands with them on. I'm really bad about wearing jewelry because if I have to take it off to shower, it will never be put back on. Hence, boxes and boxes of unused rings, earrings, necklaces :/ I should make a habit of actually wearing my cache of shiny trinkets.
Even though it's already fall, I can't resist the allure of spring pastels, hence the Revlon Lilac Pastelle nails. I got this bottle for $0.99 because Walgreens was having a clearout of Revlon polishes. The application was super smooth but with some intense lab work it's already been chipping. I didn't use top coat though. It's a strange colour against my skin but it's lilac and irresistable. Lastly, a cricket decided to join me in my adventures. I picked it up for a photo op then let it run along on its merry way.
Have a great weekend! I have had a wealth of awesome food recently: a friend's homemade curry and rice, 10-10 dinner, and endless bowls of spicy ramen xD Chuck, Glee, The Office to catch up on! Do you like this new layout of posts or prefer the old way? Change is always a good attempt, right?

Angie, if you weren't so smart and on track for a med school degree I'd say you should become a model! I'm not sure when you changed your layout since I haven't been on blogger for a while, but I totally love it! And your pearl ring is so so cute!
