A while ago I won Jessi of Studded Lilly's giveaway, sponsored by the lovely Allison of Just Say It Etsy Shop. I used to be so crazy into pins in junior high and high school - I remember pinning them all over my bags. One of my favourites was a Legolas Greenleaf pin back in my Orlando Bloom fangirl crazy phase but one day it disappeared into oblivion! That just goes to show that some matches were never meant to be hahaha. Also, Helzberg Diamonds always has a big bowl set out full of pins. I remember I would sift through it unabashed, looking for all the red and white "I love you" pins in different languages.
These "Just Say It" pins are so adorable. They're probably about an inch in diameter and have all these fun quirky statements on them. Allison's shop sells these pins even attached to cards and as magnets as well. One of the pins that I didn't understand until after I placed my order was the "What are you doing for shark week?" one - it's so deliciously fun. I was awarded a $20 gift card to spend and I decided to get 10 different pins to add to my collection. I love how Allison colour-coded the bags and separated the brighter ones from the monochromatic.
Seeing this bright green package made me smile! She has such quirky cute handwriting! Shame I have to cover a lot of it up because it's personal info : )
Everything inside a tiny envelope!
Allison drew this awesome deco herself! It reminds me of those scratch drawings I used to do a long time ago - love this technique
Pretty label
The world in black and white. Remember my Loch Ness monster reference in an earlier outfit post? I was thinking about this button :D This set really embodies my childhood I think on many levels reflected by the statements.
The bright yellow cardstock is so vibrant against these coloured buttons. I love the "grain damaged" one. I will find every excuse to pin this and wear it to my Neuroscience classes.
I can't wait to sport this bunch on all my bags I'm bringing back to school in a crazy 8 days! I am so excited, nervous, hesitant, yet ready to start the academic year again. I still have a lot of planning and organization things to take care of, as well as more rummaging around in my head for inspiration for my personal statement. It's so odd to think that I'm over the halfway point of undergrad. Where did all my time go? This 4-year haven of security and bliss will soon be over, and life will get scarier as "the real world" encroaches. If there's a firm thing I believe in, it's that nothing - absolutely nothing - will get you anywhere unless you want it and work hard for it. This is a brand new year to make things happen and to smooth over rough patches in my portfolio that I'm unhappy about. I'm going to be a doctor and no one can or will ever stop me, except me. Physics, you and I have beef. Prepare to be pummeled to the ground.
Here are a few other finds in Allison's Etsy store. You should definitely check out her collection and make a statement with all these cute pieces. Firstly, how cute are these
fortune cookie plushes!? Each of these comes with a custom message and you can hang them as decoration or give them as gifts too. If Allison had had these up for grabs when I won, I would have definitely gotten a million of them :3
Also, I like that you can give the buttons away with blank cards. There's nothing better than something extra with receiving a card - save the message and tuck it away in a safe place while boldly going where no pin-wearer has gone before with the cute add-on. You'll make the card receiver smile even bigger yay! The pins even coordinate their statements with the type of card :D
Thank you Allison and Jessi for these awesome giveaway prizes! Maybe I will wear them on my clothes too (though it breaks my heart to poke holes in my shirts) and feature them in an outfit post. Keep your eyes peeled : ) I'm currently working on some DIY projects for my new outfits - I want to make a pair of distressed jeans, ripped up denim shorts, Miu Miu sparrow print tights, and checkboard design my black Converse. So much to do, so little time! Working on crafty and artsy things is really relaxing and nice to channel stress or boredom. I also feel really accomplished at the end of the day that I recycled my used pieces into something half-handmade and fresh. Have a great day lovelies!
P.S. America's Next Top Model is so glam. I just spent the entire day watching Cycle 13 for "petite" models. It's so sad that "petite" in the modeling industry means 5'7" and under D: ! There was one girl who was 5'3" though fu fu fu :3 Now I have tips on how to look longer and leaner, but where is my editorial photographer? Haha jk. A girl can always dream, right?

As you probably can tell already, I'm a huge closet ANTM fan and have probably watched almost every episode of their 14 seasons. I remember how they made such a big deal out of the "petite" season... And while these 5'7" girls were lamenting about being "short" it kinda made me feel like a midget :P
Those buttons look really nice.
I also like your tutu skirt from your previous post!
Super nice :D

ANTM 13 is such a remarkable cycle. Hoorah for petite models. :)

I'm a big fan of ANTM too :D high five. I think they should make another season of ANTM for Extra petite who is 5'3" and under. ;) and make us 5' ladies feel a little better about our height.

lol ..i am not complaining about my lashes...:) i just don´t like wearing mascara because it´s ripping my lases out, when i´m curling them and removing mascara...i better like to stick falsies, than rip out my own ones :D but your lashes are black, my are kinda redish-brown :)
you don´t have to be jelaus about anything :D my friend has prettier eyes..and some of them haven´t even relized, that my eyes are blue. and everybody has lashes LOL some has more some less...but who cares about them :D when the eye is pretty you don´t have to have mega-giga-hyper big lashes :D
